Two cans and a string

That is all a private call needs. We tie the string. The conversation runs along it, not through us.

That is deliberate. It is what keeps this from turning into one more platform full of spammers and bots.

Video and sound travel encrypted, directly between the people on the call. We do not record calls and we cannot watch them.

Not anonymous

Every room belongs to a real, paying member. We know who holds it, so one that is abused can be closed and its owner held to the terms.

What we do keep: your account, your payments, and when connections were made. Nothing of what was said or shown.

How it works

  1. Join and pay. One membership works on getaroom.video and getaroom.chat.
  2. Your room is created with its own link and, if you want one, a passcode.
  3. Send the link. Up to four guests open it in a browser and are in. They need no account and pay nothing.
  4. You run the room from a control drawer only you have: mute or remove someone, lock the room, end the call.
